BIOGRAPHY

Christy is a Managing Director of the GE Licensing business. She is based in Norwalk, CT. Christy joined GE in 2015 as the Global IP Monetization Leader and joined the GE Licensing team in 2018.

Christy leads intellectual property commercialization for GE Capital. Her focus is on developing and licensing innovative financial technology for use in FinTech, banking, and corporate finance and treasury departments. Christy leverages a world class team within GE R&D and GE Capital to identify the needs of customers and develop the solutions required for businesses to effectively and efficiently operate in today’s global economy.

Christy has worked in technology licensing for 20 years. She began her career at Dolby Laboratories licensing audio technologies. During her 12 years with Dolby the licensing business grew from a nominal licensing program into a business generating just under $1 billion in annual revenue. Subsequently, Christy joined RPX and managed the software and e-commerce clients for the firm. During her time at RPX Christy was involved in some of the largest patent portfolio transactions in history. Following RPX Christy joined Harman International to start a licensing business focused on licensing audio technologies into the mobile and tablet space. This program expanded to include licensing the Harman brands, performing system designs and selling complimentary speakers, microphones, and headphones for mobile devices.

Christy holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Arizona; a J.D. from Chicago-Kent, Illinois Institute of Technology with a specialty in Intellectual Property; a High Technology specialty certificate from University of Santa Clara School of Law; and an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Management.
